"A Reason to Smile" - Still pondering over where to get your Mothers' Day cake?

To raise funds for Operation Smile Singapore and in commemoration of Mothers’ Day, the Pastry chefs from The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore and Singapore Marriott Hotel will team up to bake 10,000 Valrhona Chocolate Banana cakes; each 500g cake is priced at S$28 and profits will be contributed toward sending medical and support volunteers from Singapore to our Asian neighbors for treatment of children suffering from cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.

About Operation Smile:

Operation Smile is a worldwide children’s medical charity that provides free surgery to children with correctable facial deformities like cleft lips, cleft palates, facial tumours and burns. Since its inception in 1982 Operation Smile volunteers have treated over 160,000 children around the world through its presence in over 50 countries. There are over 5,000 credentialed medical volunteers from 79 countries who offer their services for free. Operation Smile Singapore is a Resource Centre that exists for Asia, providing many of the resources required by Asian beneficiary countries. The Singapore chapter aims to instill a sense of volunteerism among Singapore residents, and also expose local medical professionals to complex medical conditions not prevalent here.
