Batam Trip Part III: Breakfast at Harris and Parasailing!!!

On the second day, we had the complimentary breakfast at Harris Cafe.
I had 2 servings of food.  This was my first plate, sausage omelette and pancake with maple syrup and a bit of nutella.
My second plate - Some fried noodles, baked beans, mutton and chicken sausage.

After breakfast, we went to check out the watersports.
We decided to try out parasailing.

Opening the colourful parachute.
My turn to fly up first...

Francis' turn :D
View from our hotel room
Before departing to the ferry terminal at 1pm, we went back to Harris Cafe to claim our complimentary pizza!  Yeh!  Save money.  Wanted to have the pizza for supper the night before, but we were too full and tired and thus, we didn't order it.  Thus, we had the pizza for lunch!
We bought half a kg of Harris home-made cookies before leaving.
At the ferry terminal.  More shopping here.  We bought a box of Kueh Lapis with Prunes from this shop.
I got a T-shirt from this Polo shop as it was having 50% discount.
We took the 2.30pm ferry back to Singapore. *Home Sweet Home*

Batam Trip Part II: Massage at H Spa and Dinner at Delima

We had pre-booked our 1 hour Indonesia massage at H-Spa (Inclusive in the package).  At 5pm when we reached the place, there was another big group of around 8 people before us.  They were talking rather loudly and I found that rather irritating.  We waited for quite a while before that group had settled and we gave the counter staff our voucher.  The two masseurs brought us to our room which looked rather rundown.  We passed by many "huts" with bamboo blinds, also used for massage but ours was a proper room with concrete walls and door.
We were not told to shower first before the massage treatment which I thought we should, before massage and there was no shower facilities in the room.  I would very much prefer our massage session at Holiday Inn.  However, the most memorable one for us was at Mayang Sari, Bintan where we had a 3-hour couple spa.
The bowling alley is here as well.  There is also a Korean restaurant "Arirang".
After the massage session, we walked around Harris resort, including the beach which was rather dirty.

For dinner, we took a 10 minutes walk to Delima Seafood restaurant. I got to know of this place through a forum and this was the second time we were here.  The other time, we walked from Holiday Inn.

Fried Rice
Cai Xin
Cereal Prawns
Black Pepper Crab
Meal for 2 cost $30.  We walked back to Harris after dinner.

2D1N Batam Trip (from deal.com.sg) - Part I: Batam MegaMall

I had bought this 2D1N package from deal.com.sg
Initially, I wanted to go for the trip during the December holidays when I was more free. However, due to overwhelming demand (1645 sold), all the weekends during Dec were fully booked.

- 1 buffet breakfast for 2 persons
- 1 hour Indonesia traditional massage for 2 persons

Excludes passenger's departure fee of S$6 p/p and fuel surcharge of S$14/- totalling to S$20 p/p. Payable upon to ferry operator upon collection of boarding pass. Batam terminal fee of $7/- payable upon departure from Batam ferry terminal

We reached the HarbourFront counter at around 8.45am.  We queued at the "Advance Booking" queue and we got our tickets at around 9am.  We thought of going for a nice breakfast at MacDonalds as we thought we were still early.  However, the service staff advised us we to check in immediately as the ferry was full.
We decided to have a quick breakfast at this cafe.  Ordered the $2 breakfast each.
My Boarding Pass
The eggs were inside the metal tin.
We got to cover it for about 10 minutes so that they would be cooked.

Cracked the egg and then realized it was still quite raw... Dare not eat this and we got to discard it away :(

 Reached Harris, Batam
Their mascot is this Dino and they were doing some dance to welcome the newly arrived guests.  :)  We were served with a wet towel, a glass of sweet drink and cookies too!  Nice gesture!
Dino was very hot.  Haha...
Checked into our room.  This is at the old wing, 4th level.

As we missed the free shuttle to Nagoya, we took a cab from Harris to Batam Megamall.  Cost $15 one way.  The journey takes about 25 minutes.  We had our lunch at this Bakso restaurant.  What do you think I would want to order at Bakso?  Of course, it would be Bakso (Meat ball) right?  However, all the bakso dishes were not available.  :(
Sweet and Sour Fried Cuttlefish
Fried Prawn Fritters (Not nice, too much flour)

Avocado Drink
After lunch, we went to the Polo Ralph Lauren shop. However, it was not really a fruitful trip to the Polo Ralph shop as we didn't like their new designs, so we left empty-handed. We went back MegaMall for shopping, bought some stuff like body scrub, beer from the Hypermart.

We had A&W rootbeer float and some chicken wings before we took the cab back to Harris for our massage session.
