Mum's Birthday Lunch at Tung Lok Signature @ Changi City Point

Mum suggested her own birthday venue this year and one of her reasons for choosing Tung Lok was to get their Ang Baos!  However, the stock for their ang baos had not arrived yet so we didn't manage to get them.

 On the receipt, it states "Pickle $6".  I guess it means this?

 Crispy Pork Belly ($12)

The size of these pork belly seemed to have shrunk by quite a fair bit.  Nevertheless, they still tasted good but I wished I could have a bigger portion.

Sauteed Garoupa ($38)

  There was a special promotion on that day ie Sweet and Sour Pork with Fried Rice together at a promo price of $24.  We saw a lady order this set on her own but I doubt she could finish the fried rice.

 Fried Wasabi Prawns ($30)

We also ordered a special lobster noodle dish for mum.  ($28)

Birthday Celebration at Table Manners @ Changi City Point

A Birthday Celebration for my secondary school pals - Ruijun and Lijuan at "Table Manners", located at Changi City Point Mall.  I planned to give the 2 birthday gals a surprise so I arranged with the staff over the phone, to serve the desserts with candles lit after our mains, for us to sing birthday song for them.  The staff was very friendly and said they could also decorate the plates with the wordings "Happy Birthday to (name of birthday girl)"!  

This is the lunch menu - A-la-carte combintation:  You can mix and match the items from the "Fibre" or "Protein" category that you like.    

 After our mains, the staff came with the dessert with great smile, singing the birthday songs!  It was a pleasant surprise for the 2 birthday gals and I was happy that all turned out well too!

This year, I decided to give my mother a birthday treat at Tung Lok Signatures at Changi City Point Mall.

This dish was quite special - Crispy Rice with Fresh Crab Meat in Seafood Broth

Pouring the crispy rice into the broth and then mix them well together before serving.

Changi City Point Mall - Ootoya, Eggs & Berries

Hubby and I visited Changi City Point Mall before Chinese New Year.  The mall is conveniently situated just opposite the Expo.  However, parking can be a problem if you are driving.  Of course, compared to the 3 shopping malls in Tampines that we frequent more, this one pales in comparison.  Although the mall has some outlets like Espirit, G2000, Crocs etc, the pull factor is still not strong enough to really attract us back.  Told hubby that the only reason that I will revisit this mall is "Ootoya". 

Coincidentally, my clique of friends were deciding on a venue for our gathering cum birthday celebration.  The Feb birthday gal decided "Ootoya".  Haha... So I was back at Changi City Point Mall for the second time last Saturday.

As I was early, I took a walk around the mall first before my friends arrived.

 Beautiful desserts.... Hope I can have all of them!!

We met up during the 14th day of the Lunar New Year and we could still see the CNY decoration in the mall.

 Before I confirmed my order, the staff reminded me that there was some minced meat in the croquette.

 After our meal at Ootoya, we went up to the top level to explore a bit.  There is a wet playground.

 Dessert Time!  We decided to settle at "Eggs & Berries" while waiting for our friend Joyce.

 Shili and I shared this waffle.  We topped it up with all the 3 types of syrup provided - chocolate, strawberry and maple.  After finishing almost half of the waffle, I realized that they had forgotten to sprinkle nuts on top of the waffle after I saw them on Joyce's waffle!  Hiaz...

Overall, the price here is quite reasonable and the other main courses seemed quite good also.
