My Favourite Snack of the Week

I love them so much until I gobbled up 2 packets in less than 2 weeks.  Probably one of the causes of my sore throat that I am having now.  :(

Le Xuan Dim Sum @ Changi Village

Hubby just came back from overseas and I suggested going to Changi Village for dim sum lunch, a refreshing change from the usual western fare that he had from overseas.  I got to know about this dim sum place when I was camping at Civil Service Club last week with my students.  My colleagues discovered this place and I thought it would be good to give it a try since I couldn't find a decent dim sum place near my house.  Each plate of dim sum cost around $2.80.

Tasty Taiwan @ White Sands

This was the first time I had braised large intestine mee sua in Singapore.  It is rather common in Taiwan but here, we can find mostly oyster mee sua.  This bowl of mee sua was really tasty but their business is rather bad.  Probably because of the slightly steeper price tag as compared to those from the take-away kiosk.

LENAS and Teadot @ Nex

Our first visit to NEX shopping mall even though it had been opened for a few months already.  The parking at the mall was full and we parked our car at the nearby HDB lots.
We settled at LENAS, subsidiary of Minstry of Food (MoF) for our lunch.  Not too sure what LENAS stand for?  Sounds like a female name.
Mushroom Soup
Escargots

Baked Rice with Bacon and Mushroom in Cream Sauce

Pork Ribs, which took a very long time to arrive.
Price for 2 was around $60 which I thought it is rather on the high side for the types of food served.

I love Teadot's Matcha!!  Shiok!
Matcha Gravity ($5.80)

Aoba Hokkaido Ramen and Cafe Cartel "Happy Hours"

We had dinner at Manpuku at Tampines One before catching movie "Thor" later at night.  I ordered Shoyu Ramen from Aoba.  ($6.80)

This time round, we had too much time to spare.  Almost after all the shops were closed, we went to Cafe Cartel for desserts.  After 9pm, their coffee, desserts, snacks are all half price!  We ordered the brownies with ice-cream and it cost only about $4.50 after discount.
We catched the 11.25pm show at Shaw, Century Square.
Synopsis:  Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It's while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Nasi Ayam Penyet @ Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

This was my second trip to Tanjong Pagar Railway Station in 2 weeks!  You can read about my previous trip HERE.  My parents decided to take a train to KL for a short getaway.  Thus, we sent them to the Railway Station and had our lunch there together.  I tried the Nasi Ayam Penyet this time round instead.  Hubby still stick to his favourite Nasi Briyani.

This was my plate of Nasi Ayam Penyet.

Lunch at Magic Wok @ E-Hub!

Lunch with my parents on Mothers' Day itself.  The cake that I ordered online was finally delivered after one day delay.  They couldn't cope with the overwhelming response and many customers couldn't get their Mothers' Cakes on time.  :(

The restaurant was pretty crowded but we managed to get our seat quite fast.
