Day Trip to Johor Bahru - How to get to JB by bus if you are staying in the East and not driving

A week before the March school holidays, I decided to organize a 1-day trip to JB with a few colleagues/ ex-colleagues to enjoy a good break right from the start of the short holiday.  I was happy that the trip was able to materialise although only four of us could make it for the trip in the end.

We met up with one another at Pasir Ris MRT station at 7.30am and took the train to Bugis MRT.  This was also my first time taking a bus from Queen Street to JB.
The bus fare is $3.30 and you can pay by EZ-link card.  =)

When all the seats are filled, the staff will ask you whether you are ok with standing.  If you cannot stand for long, them maybe you have to wait for the next bus.  The frequency is about 20 minutes.  Journey from Queen Street to the Woodlands Checkpoint takes around 30 to 40 minutes.  I would advise you to stand if there is no seat available instead of wasting another 20 minutes standing in the queue.

Queen Street Terminal to Larkin Terminal

Non-stop via Bukit Timah Road, PIE, BKE & Woodlands Checkpoint.
