On Day 3, we had our lunch at Bangkok Platinum Fashion Mall and did some shopping before making our way to Chocolate Ville.
The foodcourt at Bangkok Platinum Fashion mall is located at the topmost 6th level. It is very clean (even cleaner than Singapore, I feel) and also air-conditioned. The food here was very cheap too!
There is only one stall selling oyster omelette and it is the one with the longer queue. They have Phad Thai too.
Fried Oyster Omelette
Oysters were fat and a bed of crunchy bean sprouts was laid below the omelette. Omelette was the thin and crispy type.
I remembered trying these colourful look choob at MBK's foodcourt during my previous trip. However, we were disappointed that we couldn't find them at MBK's foodcourt during this trip. But how glad I was when we spotted the look choob at the food court in Platinum Fashion mall! 1 pack cost 45 baht.
Look Choobs are made with green mung beans and coated with a layer of jelly.
Although the look choob were a bit out of shape, but for the price of less than $2 a pack, I wouldn't want to complain. Anyway, there were still very tasty! I had learnt how to make look choob a few years back at a community centre. You can read about it HERE. I know it is really not easy and very time consuming to shape them nicely.
Hubby also bought mango sticky rice from the foodcourt and their glutinous rice came in different colours! The mango was sweet and they also added in crispy sago seeds. Very satisfying plate of dessert that you should not miss in Bangkok.
