Walking Trail along the Southern Ridges - Mount Faber/ Henderson Waves/ Forest Walk/ Alexandra Arch/ Hort Park

Welcome to the month of June!  I did a walking trail with a group of friends yesterday (1 June) to kick-start the new month!  We met for breakfast at Toastbox at 8am so that we would have energy to do the walk.
After breakfast, we started walking from Harbourfront MRT station.  The Marang trail begins right after we stepped off the escalator exiting from Harbourfront MRT Station(Exit D) near Marang Road. This trail will lead us to the cable car station at the Jewel Box on Mount Faber.
Note:  Marang Trail covers an elevation of 70 metres (or the equivalent of a 24-storey building), so this trail may not be suitable for young children, the elderly and the less fit.

Once we reached to the top of Mount Faber, we enjoyed a bird-eye view of Sentosa island.  This is also the start of the next trail - Faber Walk, of which many parts are sheltered and it ends at the start of
Henderson Waves
There is a F&B establishment here at "The Jewel Box" but I haven't been there before.  The cable car station is located here too.
We discovered that there is a sculpture of the Merlion on top of Mount Faber.  Hey!  This is definitely not a "Fortune Merlion"!  Many tourists were being misled that by touching it, they would be blessed with good health and good fortune.
The Sail
We spent some time relaxing at the top of Mount Faber, enjoying the scenic view before continuing with our walk to Henderson Waves.

Henderson Waves is a 274 metre-long pedestrian bridge that spans Henderson Road to connect Mount Faber Park to Telok Blangah Hill Park.

We took the Forest Walk and shortly after, we reached the Alkaff Mansion.
We walked up the stairs leading to the Alkaff Mansion to explore the place.

We continued our walk along the Elevated Walkway, accessed by the metal bridge, offers you the experience of walking through the secondary forest of Telok Blangah Hill at eye-level with the forest canopy
Can you spot a super long green snake here?  Eeeeeeek!
Next, we reached the Alexandra Arch. It will be lit up by LED lights at night and the lights change colour at intervals from 7pm to 12am daily.  Hope to visit this place again during the night-time with hubby.  :)
Our last destination for the trail - Hort Park.
 Some strange plants here....
See who we spotted at the Hort Park?
Singa, the Courtesy Lion!
I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to have a photoshoot with Singa, one of our favourite Singapore mascots.
Group photo with Singa.  I am sure that Singa felt our warm presence.

 Curvy Brinjal
 Soy Bean Plants
 A small monitor lizard
 A squirrel

We ended our walking trail by having a good lunch at Astons Specialities at Mapletree Business City (near PSA building).
I ordered their lunch set which came with the soup of the day, fried fish with two sides and a glass of iced-lemon tea at only $10.90 nett.

Overall, I enjoyed the relaxing walk with my friends and hope that we can meet regularly in future for walks or hike.  :)
