Went Jusco Shopping Centre with my family during one of the weekends this month and we saw many bakeries selling bread that are black. Seems like the "IN" thing so we also bought 2 packs to try. Each pack only has 3 slices of bread. These charcoal bread has no charcoal taste and in fact, they taste very sweet. I quite like the bread and it is very soft too. Think sooner or later, this idea will be imported to Singapore as well.

its already in singapore.. i bought a loaf of charcoal bread from Bethel Bakery at Marine Terrace (Marine Parade area).
$2.50 for a square loaf, and $3.50 for a traditional loaf
Square loaf looks like the normal gardenia loaf, traditional loaf is more fluffy and has a more rounded head.
