Happycall Pan - I Baked my First Brownie Cake!

Thanks to Happycall Pan, I had succeeded in baking my first cake in my entire life (excluding cupcakes).  For first timer like me, I bought the Betty Crocker Original Supreme Premium Brownie Mix with Hersheys.
Simply stir everything together before adding in the Hershey chocolate syrup which is also included in the package.

Pour the mixture into the Happycall Pan.  PS:  Make sure you place the pan evenly and not like this.  :P
I baked it with low heat and you got to lock the pan.  Once the top part was hardened, quickly flipped it to the other side and continued to bake for another 8 minutes.
You can see that the pan was still quite clean after all the baking and it was a breeze to wash it.  No scrubbing is required.
The whole baking process took less than 20 minutes! :) :)

I've tried the pre-mix too. It was very good. I baked it in an oven and the top was crusty and the inside was moist.

I don't have an oven so I am really happy that I have happycall pan for cooking and even baking. Going to use it to make muah-chee this weekend.

Grease the pan with a little bit of oil before pouring the mixture. Low heat as it will get burnt quite easily. Hope to see yr pics soon!

Wah you got a HappyCall pan too! Darn, I am trying to resist!!!! Your brownie looks great though!

Miso said...

Why resist? Yup! I had fun trying out dishes with HappyCall. I seldom cooked in the past.

what oil to grease the pan? any oil?

Miso said...

I used a bit of canola oil to grease the pan. But I guess any cooking oil will do.

I made this today and it was a success! But, perhaps my heat was too low so it took me longer than 20mins to bake the brownie. And I shuffled my pan to brown the sides evenly.. Agreed, the mix is good!

Congratulation! I guess you will also feel a sense of accomplishment after baking a brownie cake sucessfully in HCP right? :P

How long should I bake using the happycall pan? How do u gauge if it is cook inside? It will be my first time baking!

Wow so interesting. Can I ask of this is the jumbo size HCP or normal one?

Miso said...

I think I used medium fire. After 10 mins, open the pan to see whether the "crust" is already formed. If yes, then lock it back and turn the pan.

I am using the normal one.

Pardon me for the silly qn as it is my 1st baking. The instructions on the box stated to add egg, water and oil to the mix. Did you do so? Cos' from the blog n pic, it seem you didn't add them. Thks for your advise.

I followed exactly the instructions, adding the egg, water and canola oil. Hope you have fun trying out baking with HCP!

Mine was a complete failure, somehow my mixture was thick and it ended up completely burnt in 3 mins under low heat. With better luck i might try it again. xD

Good luck for your next attempt! Don't give up! :D
