Curry Hopper @ Eastpoint Mall

Went down to Eastpoint Mall for my facial treatment. It had been 4 months since I last visited the spa salon. I had my lunch at the mall before my facial. Quite a number of new restaurants have taken over. I saw BBQ Chicken, Paradize Inn, a Japanese family restaurant and also Curry Hopper.  I ordered their "Cheese Prata".  The order was a bit misleading as this "Cheese Prata" actually meant 1 Egg Prata + 1 Cheese Prata.  I got a slight shock when my prata was being served to me.  They were much bigger than the normal ones that I normally have at the coffeeshop near my place or the Jalan Kayu ones.  You can see the size of the 2 pratas when spread side by side to each other, is almost equivalent to the serving tray.
The prata was quite good, made of wheat flour and served with fish curry.

This was indeed a very filling meal for me.  Next time, I shall just order one prata.
Oh yah, Daiso will open at Eastpoint Mall this coming Saturday!  Yay!!

Eighteen Chefs @ Eastpoint Mall

To read more about the concept of this restaurant, you can go to Dr Leslie Tay's blog here for the details.  My first visit to this restaurant about 2 years back was quite a forgettable one.  I also ordered baked rice then but somehow I remember that the baked rice was those soggy type which I didn't like.

Last Wednesday, after facial, I decided to revisit this restaurant.  There is this "mix and match" option for you to choose the sauce and ingredients of the baked rice/ pasta that you want.  I ordered the cheese baked rice with minced meat in red and white sauce.  You will like this if you prefer the cheese to be those very thick and chewy type.  Just by eating the cheese alone, I guessed my stomach would be full.  The baked rice is really nicely baked with a golden brown cheese "crust" on top.
They have promotions for students and nurses.  For me, there is no discount and this cost $8.05 after GST (No service charge)
After meal, I went back into the mall to buy a bubble cup tea from Each-a-Cup :)  Ordered the mango ice blended with pearls.
For your info..

Take 5! - Old Chang Kee

It is Friday!!!  I had made an appointment for facial at 3.30pm and after facial, it was already 5.30pm - Time for dinner!  So what did I buy for take-away dinner?  Curry Puff from Old Chang Kee?
Nope.. Bought Nasi Lemak for a proper dinner.
The above set cost $3.90 from "Take 5" Old Chang Kee
You can see their menu had expanded beyond "Take 5".  They have up to "Take 8" now :)  The stall do provide seats for you to have your meal too for casual dining.
