After You Dessert Cafe @ CentralWorld, Bangkok

I guess this needs no further introduction.  "After You" is a chain dessert cafe in Bangkok started by a Thai lady Kulapat “May” Kanokwatanawan and now there are more than 10 "After You" cafe found in many Bangkok shopping malls.  You probably will come across at least one of them during your Bangkok shopping trip.  We went to the one at CentralWorld.  The 7th level of CentralWorld is really a dessert/ cafe heaven!  You can find many cafes on the top level of the shopping mall.  Do check it up and you won't be disappointed!  We also happened to see an "After You" cafe at Silom Complex earlier on when we had lunch there.

Each patron can have a small cup of complimentary drink at the self-service counter in the cafe.

I ordered Thai Iced Tea and somehow, I thought that it had a "waffle" taste and got a nice fragrance.
The Signature Shibuya Honey Toast from "After You".  The thick toast was very fluffy with slight crisp, served warm with two scoops of vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream and a small cup of honey for you to pour over to the toast.  Overall, a very well-executed dessert.
We also ordered another dessert - Kakigori Strawberry Cheesecake, to be shared by 6 of us.  Great dessert for the hot weather.

Street Food along Sukhumvit Soi 38, Bangkok

Before our trip, we set up a whatsapp group to discuss our itinerary.  We didn't really have time to meet together to discuss when we were at work.  We saw this post from AroiMakMak on Soi 38 and decided that this must be one of the to-go place when we were at Bangkok as it will be gone soon.  It is conveniently located near Thong Lo station (Exit 4).
Daniel Thaiger - Food truck selling burgers.  Only beef burgers were available when we were there.
We could see that they cooked the patties and buns with lots of oil.

Overall, the beef patty was tasty although the buns were a bit "soggy".

Phad Thai

This was the Best!  Generous serving of sweet mangoes and sticky rice.  Cost only 80baht!  We also saw this stall is one of Miss Tamchiak's recommendations.
Grilled items...

Thai Wanton Noodles - A pity we didn't try this.

Bangkok Trip June 2015 - Flying off to the Land of Smiles :)

During the June holidays, I went for a short 4-day Bangkok trip with my colleagues.  I was in charge of booking the air-tickets and again, I booked the tickets through www.zuji.com.  We decided to take Thai Airways instead of budget airlines as the ticket cost $310 per pax, including all taxes, service fee etc and most importantly, 30kg luggage each.  Our flight (TG402) was scheduled to depart at 7.40am and thus, we were required to reach the airport Terminal One at 5.40am! *Yawnz*

Hubby drove me and one of my colleagues who stayed nearby, to the airport before he went to work.  After checking-in at the airport, we went for breakfast at Killiney.

Our inflight meal on Thai Airways - I chose Spicy Noodles with Seafood over the usual omelette sausage breakfast set.

Quite spicy but overall, it was tasty.
Touching down soon after 2 hours... :)
