Day 2 - Day Trip to Cheung Chau (Hong Kong)

The next day, we planned to do a day trip to Cheung Chau.  We had our brunch first at a Chinese restaurant - "Majesty Restaurant" that was located next to our hotel.  If I am not wrong, all the Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong serve dim sum in the morning.

Turnip Cake with XO-sauce.  I didn't find it very nice and it was rather spicy.
The chee cheong fun skin was very thick, didn't really like it too.
Hubby wanted to order liu sha bao but again, ordered wrongly, and thus we had custard buns instead.

Siew-Mai
After our brunch, we took the MTR to Central station to take a ferry to Cheung Chau.
At the ferry terminal.  To go Cheung Chau, proceed to Pier No. 5.
We took the ordinary ferry and each ticket cost only HKD 18.40.  You can use your octopus card to pay for the ticket fare here.  It took around 1 hour to reach Cheung Chau.
Reached Cheung Chau.
Our ferry.

Mini Great Wall - This is actually the pathway for hikers.

After hiking for about 2 hours, we decided to snack on their local specialties.

Famous giant fish-balls.

Peace buns.

Whirling Potato Chips.

Souvenir Shop

So cute!  Spotted a giant teddy bear at a cafe!

After spending half a day at Cheung Chau, we took the ferry back to Hong Kong to have our dinner.
