March Gathering at Fullhouse Signature @ Clarke Quay

Had a meet-up with my "Multiply" friends last Friday which was also the start of the school holiday.  I went direct to Clarke Quay after work.  Although I roughly knew where the restaurant was located but when I reached there, I couldn't find the way to get to the 2nd level to the restaurant.  Haha.. So I called my friend, Pauline for direction.  I finally found the lift that brought me to level 2 of the building where the restaurant was situated.  There was a birthday event going on that day at the bigger and more spacious "Garden" so we only had limited access to the "Living Room".

I had been to Fullhouse Lifestyle Store and Cafe at Hotel Rendezvous before and had quite a pleasant experience.  You can read about my visit at Fullhouse Lifestyle Cafe HERE.

The "Family of 4" - Father Thomas, Mother Tracy, Daugher Tiffani and Son Tony greeted us at the entrance.

We ordered a number of sides to share before our main courses were served.  However, some of the sides and a few of our drinks took a long time to be served.

Cheese Sticks were served in a very nice serving utensil.
Golden Crabmeat Balls were also nicely presented.
Again, the food was not really up to our expectation.  I had much nicer crab meat balls at Lerk Thai the following day.  The crabmeat balls served at Fullhouse were too dry.
Salmon Sashimi with Crab Meat and Egg.  Looked better than taste.
 Calamari
I ordered Scallop Aglio Spaghetti ($22++).  I liked the spicy and garlicky pasta but the scallops weren't well-cooked.
My friend's daughter's Club Sandwiches.  They don't have kids' menu.
Two of my friends ordered the Seafood Paradise with Mango Cream each ($39++) and they felt that it was totally not worth this price.  The size of the prawns were small and it looked different from what was illustrated in the menu.  They were still hungry after finishing this "Main Course".
 Organic Steak ($49++).
We were each given a drink on the house.  :)
We had a birthday celebration after our dinner.  Very nice cake bought from River Gauche.
Haha.... LeLe photobomb!
Group photo under the beautiful setting.

International Buffet Dinner @ Cafe 2000, M Hotel

I was invited to a weekday dinner at Cafe 2000, which is situated at the ground level of M Hotel.  I brought my foodie friend, Sam along for the dinner.  From Tanjong Pagar MRT station, we took a short walk to the hotel.
Having a big prominent signboard, it was not a problem for us to locate the cafe.  This is the back entrance of the cafe so we decided to enter the cafe from the front entrance. There are some outdoor seats here.
At M Hotel's lobby, just in front of the cafe, we saw this interesting sculpture.
Entrance of the cafe, or should I call it a restaurant?
Cafe 2000 serves a good spread of International Buffet!
We chose a cosy side seats overlooking at the road outside the restaurant.  Our seats were located very near to the dessert corner but furthest from the seafood station.

The dessert station - Will "zoom" into the various desserts at the later part of this blog post.  :)
Seafood Station
We decided to "attack" the seafood station first.  Besides prawns, oysters, mussels, shelled scallops, they also serve crabs and crayfish here too!

There were sesame oil, Thai chili sauce, Tabasco sauce for you to dip your seafood.
Sam's plate of seafood:
These were my choices for seafood.  The crabs were fresh and meat was sweet.
Sushi and Sashimi Station

The sashimi was cut into very small pieces like these... ok, they don't look very presentable here, but at least they were fresh.
 Salad and Cheese Station
 Mashed pumpkin salad.

 Prawns with Blueberries.

 Smoked Duck.
My second plate of sushi, sashimi and selections from the salads station.
Grilled and Roasted Meat Station
The photo below was for display so you just need to tell the chef which item you want.  He would then grill the items (already cut into smaller pieces) in the open-concept kitchen behind this station.
I didn't order the bratwurst and pork ribs above, as I decided to save my stomach space for the roasted beef instead.  I requested for the chef to give me a thinner slice and then he took the sliced piece of meat to grill until about medium well.  The roasted beef was served with black pepper sauce.

Cooked Food Station
I would strong recommend the satays! Meat was tender and well-marinated. So good that you don't even need the sauce to go with them! But they do provide peanut sauce for the satay to give the extra flavour.

The cooked items that I sampled.  I found the paella a bit bland.  The pizza and crab nuggets were ok.
"Live" Lor Mee Corner
Sam had a bowl of Lor Mee with many ingredients that she picked from these station.  The ingredients were then deep-fried before the gravy was poured onto them.  Her bowl of Lor Mee looked really delicious!  I regretted not having to try this!

Cheng Teng Corner
Sam had a bowl of "Cheng Teng" that she mixed on her own.
Desserts Station
Chocolate Fondue

 Assorted Nonya Kueh

My last plate of dessert to end off the dinner.  The durian puree was made from fresh durian.  It was very thick, bitter and sweet at the same time!  A pity that I was already more than 100% full, if not, I would have taken a few more "shots" of durian puree.
I would like to thank Lindy, Marketing Communication Manager from M Hotel for this dinner invitation.  We enjoyed the dinner very much.
