Off to Shangri-la!!

I will be away for a winter holiday with hubby in Yunnan for 8 days.  Will not be blogging during this period.  We booked the tour package from CTC during NATAs fair this year.  Itinerary covers the following places:

  • Kunming: Daguan Pavilion, Colorful Yunnan-Peacock Garden, Jiuxiang Karst Cave, Stone Forest, Cuihu Park, Yuantong Temple, Flower Market , Jinma Biji Archway, Nanping Street
  • Dali: Mingzhu Square, Dali Ancient Town, Foreigners’ Street, Erhai Park, Zhang Dali Bai Garden, Three-course Tea Ceremony, Tie-dyed Cloth Factory, Congsheng Three Pagodas
  • Lijiang: Lion Hill, Dayan Ancient Town, Square Street, view Yulong Snow Mountain, Blue Moon Valley, Baishui River, Ganhaizi, Jade Water Village, Show, Heilongtan(Jade Spring Park), Night Tour at Shuhe Town
  • Shangri-la: The first Bend of Yangtze River, Shika Snow Mountain (2-way cable car), Dukezong Ancient Town, Zhuanjing Tong
Some of the food that we will get to try when we get there:
Cross-Bridge Noodle, Steamboat Chicken, Yiliang Roast Duck, Seafood Meal, Dali Nanzhao Palace Banquet, Naxi Farmer’s Meal+Lijiang Pancake, Zhongdian Tibetstyle Eight-treasure Steamboat

The weather there is rather cold now.

Will blog about the trip when I am back!!  Time to pack now :)

best timing to eat Hairy Crabs and much cheaper compared to SG too!

Yunnan got no hairy crabs.... the only seafood they have is fish, and normally the fish are full of tiny bones!
