Cameron Highland - Day 1

A very special CNY.... 3D2N Cameron Highland/ Ipoh tour with Five Stars agency, departing on first day of lunar new year/ V-Day!! (14 Feb 2010). First time going overseas with so many family members (maternal side), a total of 23 members, including my cousin's german girlfriend.

On Sunday, we reached Golden Mile complex at around 5.30am as the coach will depart at 6am. After crossing the S'pore immigration, we got to transfer to a Malaysia coach. At 9am, we stopped over at Yong Peng for breakfast. I had fishball soup. Around 9.40am, we left Yong Peng and continued our journey.

1pm: We reached Sungai Buloh where we had our 1 hour lunch. Most of the youngsters decided to have A&W.

4.30pm: We reached Simpang Pulai, a new route to Cameron Highland and it took us about 1 and a half hour more to reach the town. At 6pm, we stopped at Green View Garden where we got to do a bit of shopping. We bought their strawberry white coffee and also maizes. There was a small strawberry farm and hydroponics farm here too.

7pm: We had our dinner at Strawberry View Restaurant. Before we went into the restaurant, we took a brisk walk through the market near the restaurant. Food-wise was so-so. After dinner, we checked in to our hotel nearby - Equatorial hotel.

6am:  Depart from Golden Mile Complex
Breakfast stop at Yong Peng
-  Fishball Soup
Lunch at Sugai Buloh
- A&W
6.30pm:  Reached Cameron Highland
We stopped over at this place called "Green View Garden" before we proceed for dinner.  Most of us tried this yummy corns and they were really sweet! :)
Very nice display of a variety of cakes with strawberries.  Just looking at them would make you drool.... However, we didn't get to try as we would be heading straight for dinner after this.
Francis bought a cup of strawberry white coffee.  It was nice with a sweet aroma and we liked it quite a lot. Hence, we bought back 2 packets.
We had our dinner at this restaurant at about 7pm.
Soup
Fishcake with crabstick and seaweed
Beancurd Salad
Fried Chicken
Fried Fish
Limpy long beans
Oranges
Food here wasn't that memorable..... More interesting activities on Day 2.... to be cont'd
