Frog Porridge

Other than Geylang Lorong 9, another place to go for frog porridge is Tampines Blk 802 food court. We ordered the frogs cooked in Kung Bao sauce. Very spicy but shiok! This cost $16 (with 2 frogs) and and additional $3 for the porridge. Mix the sauce well into your bowl of plain porridge. If you cannot take spicy stuff, you can also order the one cooked with ginger and spring onion.

I remembered there was a time when I went JB Taman Tebrau for a meal. By chance, I actually saw the hawker chopping a live frog into 2!! I was startled because everything was so fast for me to react. Do you dare to take frog meat?

Geylang Lorong 9 Beef Hor Fun

This plate of beef hor fun serves 2. You can see that the portion of sliced beef is almost equal to the portion of hor fun. Also, not much green to mention. maybe just 1 or 2 pieces of vege :( The beef slices are very tender and I like the Dou(4) Ban(3) sauce (Black Bean Paste Sauce).

Outram Park Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh

This is our favourite Bak Kut Teh place so far. The other "side dishes" that we like to order everytime we visit the place are the You Tiao (to dip into the soup) and also, the intestines. I love the clear, peppery soup. Their service is also good. They will refill your bowl of soup very frequently. I also prefer the fatter meat as compared to the lean meat :)
